Course Overview

This course is a concepts-driven, 3-day, introductory course to Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (EMSO) with theory presented with minimal mathematics. This is an ideal course for those in the defense industry or government who are new to EMSO or in need of a refresh.  The course includes lecture and practical exercises. But what make our course unique, is the use of a simulated virtual battlespace that includes the electromagnetic environment.

The virtual battlespace is modeled using Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE) software. MACE is a physics-based application with a large and user-extensible order of battle, capable of many-on-many simulation yet having very high fidelity at the tactical engagement level. MACE simulates advanced, 5th generation systems including low observable platforms and Active and Passively Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA and PESA radar) as well as highly contested battlespaces and full Integrated Air Defense Systems (IADS) comprised of Early Warning, Acquisition, Height Finding and Target Tracking radar. Each sensor is modeled down to the pulse level to include the dynamic generation of high-fidelity emitter audio. MACE also simulates air-to-air and surface-to-air missile fly-outs and air-to-ground weapons and ballistics.

Course pricing is $1,395 per student.
