Our Background:

In July 2007 Atkinson Aeronautics & Technology was founded. In early 2008, we opened our first office in Dahlgren, VA. This office continues to serve as our Corporate Headquarters to date. In May 2008, Atkinson received an award on SeaPort-e Rolling Admissions, contract # N00178-08-D-5355.

By August 2008, Atkinson had opened a second office in the Pax Professional Park located 5 miles North of NAS Patuxent River, MD Gate 1. Atkinson officially became a corporation in October 2008, and in August 2009 was awarded its first original sub-contract through a competitive bid.

More recently, in September 2009, Atkinson was awarded its first prime contract through a competitive bid.

Atkinson News:

May 2012 - Atkinson awarded a prime contract for Electronic Warfare (EW) Spectrum Battle Management Engineering Support Services for the Joint Electronic Attack and Compatibility Office (JEACO) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division.

Jul 2011 - Atkinson awarded a sub-contract by ASI for logistics support to Naval Air Systems Command, AIR-6.7 at NAS North Island.

Jul 2011 - Atkinson awarded a sub-contract by TSC under their CEOss Prime Contract in the Specialty Engineering Domain.

Apr 2011 - Atkinson awarded a sub-contract by SAIC for BAMS support.

Apr 2011 - Atkinson adds UAS payload and operations analysis capability.

Sep 2010 - Atkinson awarded sub-contract by URS for support of NSWC Crane, 2 year effort.

Jul 2010 - Atkinson moves headquarters to new location outside Dahlgren Gate B: 4471 James Madison Pkwy, King George, VA

Sep 2009 - Atkinson awarded first Prime contract: Mobile Facilities Program Support. This is a 5-year contract.

Aug 2009 - Atkinson received contract award for PMA-234; sub-contractor to Precise Systems. This is a 5-year effort.

Jan 2009 - Atkinson awarded Sub Contract with L-3 Communications: PMA242 JAGM This is a 5-year effort.

Oct 2008 - Atkinson becomes a C- Corporation.

Aug 2008 - Atkinson opens a fully operational office in the PAX Professional Park - located 5 miles north of Gate 1, NAS PAX. (Click here for maps and directions)

May 2008 - Atkinson received award on SeaPort-e Rolling Admissions, contract #N00178-08-D-5355.

Apr 2008 - Atkinson opens office which served as our first Corporate Headquarters. Office is located just south of Dahlgren Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Dec 2007 - Jim Atkinson starts Atkinson Aeronautics & Technology as a Sole Proprietor out of his home in King George, VA.
